Over time, many players’ journeys are compiled on a map with geotagged points that creates an experiential representation of space.
In this way players create a narrative map of the built environment that is produced collaboratively.
ROAM flips our dependence on GPS navigation and reveals the ways this technology shapes our experience of our world and ourselves.
ROAM is both an artwork and a tool to create art as a collaboration between players.
I would like to make ROAM a creative tool that helps players get lost as a prompt to have an artistic interaction with the environment.
